Spectacles.

Post by Keith » Mon Jun 04, 2018 12:43 pm

Something I have not mentioned before regarding the equipment I carry, reading glasses. I always have a pair of reading glasses on me, even when working outside. The reason being that if I should get a splinter or a cut, without my reading glasses I would not be able to see it clearly. I recommend you carry reading glasses with you in your kit, better still on your person. I have a special pair in my waistcoat pocket that is a part of my survival gear.

These are a copy of 17th century reading glasses, only slightly less sturdy than the bull bar on my truck! Make sure you have a good sturdy protective case to keep them in.
These are also good for making fire.

I agree, especially for those of us who need reading glasses. I already have a spare pair in my go to pack, would really be difficult if I didn't have any with me.

Mike
I wish it weren't so,
but accept the challenge to find an alternative way/s for when things are not the same anymore.

Yes, I forgot to mention firearms repair, much easier if you can see what you are doing :)

I can see without my specs, just means headaches at the end of the day. Good point for having a pair aside for emergencies
