One for the girls

Post by mozart » Mon May 27, 2019 9:48 am

Shampoo is detergent it is a waste of money and bad for your hair. Also you are convinced to buy shampoo and conditioner which is another waste of money. Throw out or give away your shampoo and conditioner and buy instead soap it washes your hair and your body is better for you and you can buy it in bulk and it lasts longer.

Woolworths has a product called voeu its a face moisteriser and it is only $8. All moisterisers are basically the same so you are wasting you money spending $125 on a face moisteriser they are the same as what you would get in a product like voeu from woolworths for $8.

A woman died recently in the london bridge attack because she was wearing high heels. She tried to run but couldnt fell and was stabbed to death. Wear boots that are comfortable to walk in and in summer wear walking sandals. See if you can run in your boots or sandals at least for a short distance.

If you look at magazines they will tell you that an average weight of a woman is 50kg. This is fine if you are 16 but otherwise absolutely ridicolous. Start at least 65kg for an everage weight. Especially for someone in their 30s, 40s or 50s. The last thing you want to be doing is unecessarily starving yourself.

There was a time in my life when I longed for day spas, massages, facials. I realised that basically you are paying $350 just to have a bath that you could have at home. Massages you can do at home and facials all you need to do is mush pineapple or kiwi fruit and put it on your face. Acrilic nails are another waste of time they get annoying you constantly have to get them redone and it gets boring sitting in a nail salon. Also makeup is a waste of time most of the time. Most people prefer the natural look. So give it up. The money you save on beauty treatment you could pay off a mortgage on a rural retreat or an urban apartment if thats what you prefer. Stop doing it. Its a big lie. It doesnt make you more beautiful. Take a hot shower and relax with soap and rub a kiwi fruit into your skin. Stop being sold a big lie.

Are you addicted to driving and lunch and coffee? Myself and a good friend have driven for lunch all over the Adelaide Hills as well as going to every beach in Adelaide. Basically the petrol and the lunch gets too expensive. If the SHTF it will get too dangerous to go out for country and beach drives so get used to it. If you want to go out limit yourself to your local community. You will save a lot of money on petrol and lunches. Try and limit your driving to 20 minutes and only go long distances if its absolutely essential. If you go out make it something essential like food shopping, postoffice, maybe the bank. Try going out once a week to a local pub for dinner but forget going out 6 days a week to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Same with going out to coffee. Stop doing it. Buying coffee in a cafe is a compete waste of money. Have breakfast and coffee and lunch at home. You will save so much money you will be astounded. There is more to life than eating caesar salads. Dont wait to be in a survival scenario to start living off your survival food. One thing to get used to is the change of life style. Buy instant hot chocolate and coffee and have it at home. Try tinned Campbells soup for lunch or 2 minute noodles or a packet pasta meal. Try and simplify your food and stop the take away, cafe coffee addiction. Its a lot easier if you get used to it rather that freaking out at the last minute.

Youve just tried ringing your friend again to catch up and again they havent gotten back to you. Is it really worth it? Do you think in a survival scenario they are going to be there for you? Probably not. If you have friends that you havent heard from in years then Id suggest not to bother. Same with facebook when it first started everyone wanted to collect friends but do you have any idea who they all are. Go through your facebook page and delete all the people that never post or that you have no idea who they are. Cut your facebook page down to people who you have a connection with. IF the SHTF people on facebook are not going to be there for you they are not going to help you make dinner or pick you up when your cars broken down. So forget about them. Same with people whose phone numbers you have that never call. Put their numbers in a book and put in the cupboard. Delete their name from your phone. Keep in touch with the friends that you have that are supportive good friends that keep in touch. So imagine the scenario. Its years later you are safelty ensconced on your farm with you family eating lamb chops and apple pie made from your farm. Times are tough. Someone turns up on you door its a friend that you havent seen in years who never bothered and was rude to you. Give them a can of beans and tell them thats all that you can do.

The blast radius of a nuclear bomb can be about 60 kms in some instances. So if a nuclear bomb hit down town Sydney you would want to be at least 100kms away to have some hope of survival. You would have about 45mins warning so escaping inner city Sydney would be difficult maybe impossible. The fallout lasts about 30 days so if you lived 100kms away from the centre of the city you would have to stay inside if you decided to stay in your house and secure your house and not go out and breath the air for 30 days.

Have you thought about all the stuff that you have in your family. A lot of families have a lot of old stuff, vases, antiques all sort of things that generations have collected. If your overwhelmed with stuff go through every thing you have a take what is of value to an auction house. Keep a few things of sentimental value. Generations ago people used to put a lot of value on collectible items but they are losing value and if you are thinking about things to trade when things get tough not many people are going to want your antique vases.

If you like to go into the city but not sure what to do. Start with carrying an oversized handbag get one with long shoulder straps that you can sling across your body. In an emergency situation you start to panic pretty fast and you can find that you are hungry and craving food and sugar as the adrenaline sets in. Carry a couple of cans of coke, some potato chips, premade cheese and crackers and some chocolate bars. Dont eat everything at once. If you have to evacuate the city it will probably take twenty minutes just to get to your car, a bus or a train. Get to know your local city. If your car is gone and trains and buses are down it can take 12 hours walk from the centre of the city in sydney to gosford for example. Keep a $100 cash in your purse when ever you go out. If the internet goes down you phone and cards wont work and you will have to use cash.
