Using Reeds As Mulch.

Post by Keith » Tue Nov 06, 2018 11:13 am

With the hotter weather we are getting these days we have had to use a lot of shade cloth & mulch. No point in purchasing mulch if we can make it ourselves, so we have been cutting the reeds down at Cattail Pond & carting them up to the garden for use as mulch. Some we use as is where we can, the rest we run through the mulcher.

That's a great idea Keith.Hopefully some rain on the way in the next couple of days.I'm afraid that as the climate warms, then we will have to utilize practices that would be not used years ago.But then that is part of the adaptive process and that's what preppers need to do. RG

Good to hear from you again Rocky. We had some rain yesterday on & off. Not enough to top up the tanks thought :(
